Our European Wound Management Association (EWMA) team had a very successful conference in Madrid, Spain last month. The team partnered up with Coloplast, our international Denmark- based partner who is also one of the world’s leading wound care and management companies, and it was led by Dr. John Bennett – CEO, Chip Ross – President, Gayle Jameson – Director of Clinical Nursing, John Hastings – Executive Vice President, and Darren Behuniak – Vice President of Marketing & Communications. We have had some very exciting news during the show that we’d like to share!
Rita: extriCARE® Negative Pressure Patient Story
Coloplast presented a wound care symposium outlining positive results of extriCARE® in the field. Over 600 wound care and other healthcare professionals attended!
The team showed a very inspirational video that captures the ways in which the extriCARE® allows portability and patient mobility to help them live a higher quality of life while receiving wound treatment.
Please watch the video below about Rita, a music lover from Switzerland and an extriCARE® patient. We invite you to watch this heart-warming video with us and see how extriCARE® heals Rita’s wound while allowing her to live her life enjoying her true love of music. We are so proud of stories like Rita’s and look forward to helping more people simply feel better.
Partnership with Coloplast and More on the Show
Last year, we signed an international distribution agreement with Coloplast under which Coloplast was given the exclusive rights to distribute our Negative Pressure Wound Therapy (NPWT) products in the European Union, Brazil, China and other non-U.S. markets. While they are currently helping patients in Brazil, Switzerland and Greece, they will be expanding to the rest of Europe, China, South Korea, and South Africa.
Gayle Jameson, our director of clinical nursing, was instrumental in showing both the Coloplast team and the wound care professionals that visited the booth how our extriCARE® device works to help people every day. We worked with wound care professionals and care givers to address patients’ needs to the fullest. As a result, our product is very small and portable so it allows patients to get out of the hospital faster and into their home to experience treatment. This is something that not only is cost efficient but also enables patients the mobility to heal while still enjoying their lifestyle.
